Hindiro Pipeline:

The Hindiro Sector Source Expansion project is dedicated to enhancing access to clean water for the Gasovu and Gasharu communities near Munini, Rwanda. Our goal is to implement a reliable water system by extending a pipeline from an existing source and adding new tap stands. Initially, the communities relied on a free-flowing spring with no storage or treatment, resulting in long wait times for water collection. Students at the Munini School, for instance, had to walk 90 minutes to fetch water for their families. Since our previous project in August 2019, which included a 2.85-kilometer main transmission line, a 1000 L break tank, distribution lines, and tap stands, travel time to access water has been reduced to a maximum of 30 minutes. We are now focused on expanding clean water distribution to more families in the area.

Matayzo Pipeline:

The Matayzo Sector Source Expansion project aims to establish a dependable and accessible clean water system for two villages situated in Rwanda’s Ngororero district, Western Province. Our primary objective is to develop and implement a sustainable, cost-effective water supply and distribution infrastructure to meet the diverse needs of these communities. Presently, the community grapples with limited access to clean water, exacerbated by the dysfunctionality of the existing water supply system. As this project is in its early stages within our chapter, there's a significant amount of groundwork to be done, which will ultimately provide potable drinking water to thousands of Rwandans.
